Farm Worker
Second Pick Fruit Product, located in Abbotsford, is looking to hire 9 Farm Workers for our blueberry farm.
The farm workers will have these responsibilities:
Prepare land for planting
Prune and remove diseased and dead wood.
Irrigate plants as directed
Incorporate sawdust or compost in planting beds as directed
Flush irrigation systems and sprayers to protect against winter damage
Store harvested crops
Report to and follow the directions of the farm supervisor
Plant and cultivate blueberries
Maintain tools and equipment
Other duties related to planting, cultivating, harvesting, pruning, and irrigating, as directed by the supervisor.
Skills for the job:
We will train the right candidates. Previous farming experience is an asset
Will work year-round under different weather conditions.
May have to handle heavy loads
Salary: $18.25/per hour
Hours per week: full-time. 40 hours per week. year-round
