Responsibilities
- Assisting with Opening & closing duties cleaning and organizing, making sure the studio is organized and clean, up to Industry standards and following Tattoo Studio/Interior Health protocols.
- Answering the phone & greeting clients, directing clients, consulting and advising clients. as it comes
- Managing and help the owner manage the studio throughout, we open 7 days a week, so the Tattoo Studio Assistant Manager is required to fulfill the spot and assist the owner and team with running a smooth operation.
- Weekly checking, organizing and ordering inventory. Making sure of expiry dates, keeping track of inventory, research on cheapest products out there, good quality products, new products on the market, faulty supplies, making sure we use products that have close expiry dates and products that are up to industry standard, knowledge of the industry is required. Keeping track of what products we need and on how fast we go through each kind of product. Finding new suppliers in case we face shortage and usual suppliers are no longer holding the products we need. Getting the best deals to save costs.
- Ordering tattoo artists special supplies like needles, machines and ink, and only someone with industry knowledge would know what to order.
- Fixing, maintaining the studio machines & furniture, lighting and other duties that pop up suddenly, tattoo station lights, trolleys, beds, and any other sudden or ongoing issue we face, the tattoo studio assistant manager is responsible for that.
There's always something to be maintained and organized, this helps with keeping the studio functioning well and reducing waste/costs.
- Preparing for upcoming events, organizing transportation and planning, setting up booths, greeting clients and visitors, promoting our brand, assisting artists with their clients, booking in clients, guiding them through the tattoo process from consultation to finished product, and also upselling our services professionally keeping in mind industry guidelines.
- Help planning and organizing tattoo conventions and events with the Owner of the tattoo studio.
- Assisting with deep cleaning to keep up with tattoo artist standards/interior health protocols for tattoo artists and studios.
- Training new staff and overlooking old staff
- Assisting the owner with tasks as they come up.
- Tattooing in the middle of the day throughout when needed.
- Being the Tattoo Studio Assistant Manager, the second in command for the tattoo studio Owner.
