an experienced Drywall Installer to join our team.

Wage: $32.00/hour
Work Hours: 30 hours/week

** Note: As per operating our construction business, you may be required to work for different
work sites than our registered company address depending on a project by project.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review drawings, measurements and site conditions to plan drywall installation and
determine the materials required for each job
- Measure, mark and cut drywall sheets to fit walls and ceilings, including openings for doors,
windows, electrical boxes and fixtures
- Position and fasten drywall panels to wood or metal framing using screws, nails or adhesive
- Install corner beads, edge trims and other accessories to produce straight, protected corners
and clean openings
- Apply joint compound, embed tape over seams, and fill fastener indentations, holes and
surface imperfections
- Apply additional finishing coats and sand completed surfaces to a smooth, paint-ready finish
- Remove and replace damaged drywall and patch walls and ceilings during residential and
commercial renovation work
- Work with other trades and the site supervisor to coordinate installation and meet project
schedules
- Keep tools and work areas organized, remove job-site debris, and follow company safety
procedures and Nova Scotia occupational health and safety requirements
Education: Secondary High School Graduation Certificate
Experience: 3 years of related experience
Language: English
Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots; Safety glasses/goggles; Gloves; Ear plugs
