Hotel Housekeeping Attendant
Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor or Executive Housekeeper, the Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall presentation of guest rooms and common areas, ensuring a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for all guests.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Rooms
Clean and organize guest rooms according to hotel standards.
Make beds and change linens as required.
Clean and disinfect bathrooms.
Dust and clean furniture, surfaces, mirrors, and windows as needed.
Vacuum and mop floors.
Replenish towels, toiletries, and other guest supplies.
Inspect rooms and report any damage, maintenance issues, or missing items.
Ensure that rooms meet the hotel’s cleanliness and presentation standards.
Follow the hotel’s procedures regarding lost and found items.
Public Areas
Clean and maintain hallways, lobbies, elevators, public restrooms, and other common areas.
Perform additional cleaning duties as required.
Ensure that all areas are clean, safe, and welcoming for guests.
Guest Service
Provide courteous, professional, and respectful service to guests.
Respond to basic guest requests or direct guests to the appropriate department.
Respect guest privacy and confidentiality.
Report any unusual situations or guest concerns to the supervisor promptly.
Health, Safety & Procedures
Use cleaning products and equipment properly and safely.
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
Use required personal protective equipment.
Keep cleaning carts and equipment clean, organized, and properly stocked.
Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and standards.
Qualifications & Skills
Previous hotel housekeeping experience is an asset.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
Good organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.

Working Conditions

Work is performed primarily in guest rooms, public areas, and other areas of the hotel.
