Drummonds Gas, located at 5220 Mitch Owens Rd, Manotick, ON, is a trusted provider of fuel, convenience retail, and essential community services. Our establishment serves a high volume of daily customers, including commuters, local residents, and commercial drivers. We pride ourselves on maintaining a safe forecourt, a well‑stocked convenience store, and a customer‑focused environment that reflects reliability, efficiency, and community care. To support our continued growth and ensure smooth daily operations, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced STORE MANAGER who can oversee all aspects of fuel‑station and convenience‑store management.
The key responsibilities of this position are:
· Plan, organize and manage the daily store operations to ensure efficiency & profitability.
· Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, & evaluate staff performance.
· Prepare payroll by collecting & verifying staff hours, reviewing timecards & ensure all shift records are complete before submission.
· Determine merchandise to be sold and implement price and credit policies
· Authorized payments & return of merchandise
· Evaluate and improve customer service
· Resolve customer complaints & issues to maintain high service standards.
· Implement policies & procedures for sales, merchandising & customer service.
· Liaise with vendors, verify deliveries, review invoices, and ensure accurate stock entry.
· Oversee inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks to prevent shortages & overstocking.
· Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security standards by monitoring store conditions, addressing hazards & reinforcing safe work practices
· Prepare reports on sales, merchandising & operational performance
· Ensure that the visual standards and image of the store is maintained by proper displays, signage & cleanliness
· Support staff in assisting customers with basic pump‑related inquiries & outdoor service needs.
· Conduct routine walk‑throughs to monitor spills and identify & address potential safety risks inside the store & around the forecourt.
· Oversee indoor and outdoor service areas to ensure smooth traffic movement, reduced wait times, and consistent service delivery.
· Track daily revenues, identify variances, implement corrective actions and prepare deposit summaries.
· Authorize returns, payments, expenditures and price adjustments.
· Prepare reports on sales trends, merchandising effectiveness and operational performance.
· Monitor deliveries, verify invoices, & ensure accurate stock entry & storage.
· Support staff in assisting customers with basic pump‑related inquiries.
· Ensure visibility and proper functioning of outdoor displays, signage and lighting.
· Monitor equipment (coolers, freezers, POS terminals, coffee machines, etc.) & report issues promptly.
· Ensure the fuel‑station forecourt remains tidy, clear of debris, & safe for customers.
· Monitor the fuel‑pump area for cleanliness, spills, hazards & ensure issues are addressed promptly

· Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail software.
· Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, reliable delivery schedules, and consistent product quality.
· Ability to prepare sales reports, inventory summaries, and operational documentation accurately.
Job Type: Permanent, full-time position.
Salary: $43.27/hour for a minimum of 30 per week
Overtime: will apply after 44 hours per week.
Experience: 1-2 years previous retail management experience.
Education: Completion of secondary school. A college diploma in business administration or any related field.
Language Requirement: Fluency in spoken and written English
