Key Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare and cook pizzas and other menu items, including dough, sauces, toppings, sides and
appetizers, following recipes and portion standards.
Cook and bake customer orders and check that food is prepared correctly and ready on time.
Oversee kitchen operations during assigned shifts, including food preparation, oven and equipment use,
and order flow.
Supervise kitchen helpers during assigned shifts and assign preparation and cleaning tasks as required.
Estimate daily food requirements, monitor stock levels, and order ingredients and kitchen supplies as
needed.
Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and kitchen equipment.
Clean kitchen and work areas and follow food safety, sanitation, storage and temperature-control
procedures.
Requirements
Education: Secondary high school graduation certificate
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience as a cook or in commercial food preparation
Language: English
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Work Site Environment: Indoors; hot kitchen environment
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment; work under pressure; standing
for extended periods; repetitive tasks; attention to detail
