Wage: $39.00 per hour
Hours: 30–40 hours per week
Employment: Permanent, Full-time

Job Duties
Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials.
Direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade.
Fill hollows and remove high spots on freshly poured concrete.
Operate power vibrators to compact concrete.
Level the top surface of concrete according to grade and depth specifications.
Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete.
Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure concrete surfaces.
Waterproof, damp-proof and restore concrete surfaces.
Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications.
Work at heights and on scaffolding when required.
Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain a safe work area.
Employment Requirements
Secondary school education is preferred.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in concrete finishing or a related field.
Experience using concrete finishing hand and power tools.
Knowledge of concrete placement, levelling, finishing and curing techniques.
Ability to perform physically demanding work.
Ability to bend, crouch, kneel and stand for extended periods.
Ability to work outdoors and at various construction sites.
