Salary: $22.00 to $34.00 per hour (to be negotiated)

Job Description

John Warlow is seeking a caring, reliable, and dedicated Home Child Care Provider to provide quality care for children in a private household setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the children's safety, well-being, and development while maintaining a positive and healthy home environment.

Work Schedule

Availability for the following shifts may be required:

• Early Morning

• Morning

• Day

• Evening

• Night

• Weekend

• Shift Work

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents

• Supervise and care for children

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks

• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home

• Organize activities, games, and outings for children

• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development

• Maintain records of daily activities and health information regarding children

• Discipline children according to the methods requested by parents

Qualifications

Education:

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience:

• 1 to less than 7 months of related experience

Certificates Required:

• Valid CPR Certificate

• Valid First Aid Certificate

Experience and Skills

• Experience working with children

• Experience supporting autistic children is an asset

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Excellent judgment and initiative

• Organized and reliable

• Patient, honest, and trustworthy

• Strong time management skills

Work Environment

• Work performed in the employer's home

• Optional live-in accommodation available at no charge (not a condition of employment)

• Physically demanding position requiring attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks
