Job Description:
A Home Support Worker is required to provide in-home assistance, personal support, and companionship to a 94-year-old senior who lives independently.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
Assist with mobility and help maintain a safe home environment
Provide companionship and general supervision
Prepare and serve nutritious meals
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning
Launder clothing and household linens
Assist with grocery shopping and routine errands
Accompany the senior to medical appointments and necessary outings
Provide medication reminders as directed
Observe the senior’s general well-being and report significant concerns when appropriate
Perform other routine home-support duties related to senior care
Requirements:
Secondary school education is preferred. Previous experience in senior care, home support, personal support, or a related caregiving role is an asset. The applicant must be dependable, patient, compassionate, and able to assist an elderly person with daily living needs.
