• Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate and drive tractor-trailers to transport freight on long-haul routes
- Plan trips and routes to meet delivery schedules
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer, including tires, lights, and
brakes
- Load and unload freight, or oversee loading and unloading
- Secure cargo properly and tarp loads when required
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption in the driver
logbook
- Receive and relay information to dispatch and communicate with customers at pick-up and delivery
- Comply with all provincial and federal transportation regulations and company safety policies
- May perform emergency roadside repairs if necessary
• Requirements
- Education: Secondary high school graduation certificate
- Language: English
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of verifiable Class 1 driving experience
- Licences & Certifications:
o Valid Class 1 (or A) licence
o Air brake endorsement
