TAO Digital Solutions Inc. is seeking a highly skilled, analytical, and detail-oriented IT Analyst to support the design, development, implementation, testing, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the company's information technology systems and software solutions. The successful candidate will analyze business and technical requirements, evaluate existing information systems, identify operational and system inefficiencies, and recommend practical solutions to improve system performance, reliability, security, and overall effectiveness. You will work closely with management, technical teams, software developers, and end users to ensure that information systems align with organizational objectives, technical specifications, and business requirements. You will also contribute to the development and implementation of IT policies, procedures, standards, and best practices to ensure the consistent delivery of reliable, efficient, and high-quality technology solutions.
Job Duties:
Analyze business operations, user requirements, and existing information systems to identify technical needs, operational challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Assess existing IT infrastructure, software applications, databases, and system workflows to evaluate performance, functionality, and compatibility.
Develop and maintain system analysis reports, technical documentation, requirements specifications, and implementation plans.
Design, develop, configure, test, implement, and maintain information systems and software applications in accordance with organizational requirements.
Assist in the integration of software applications, databases, and other information systems to improve data consistency and operational efficiency.
Support the deployment of new systems, application enhancements, software updates, and system upgrades while minimizing disruption to business operations.
Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines throughout the software development life cycle.
Identify opportunities to streamline system development, testing, deployment, and maintenance processes.
Recommend improvements to IT workflows, system documentation, and operational procedures to increase efficiency and reduce recurring issues.
Perform functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing, as appropriate to the project requirements.
Work with developers and technical teams to investigate defects, determine root causes, and implement corrective measures.
Collect, organize, interpret, and analyze technical and operational data to evaluate the performance and effectiveness of information systems.
Perform preventive maintenance and routine system checks to support the reliability, availability, and stability of computer systems.
Maintain records of system incidents, troubleshooting activities, corrective actions, and maintenance procedures.
Support the implementation and maintenance of IT policies, procedures, technical standards, and information security practices.
Ensure that system development, testing, documentation, and maintenance activities follow applicable organizational policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
Provide technical guidance and support to end users regarding system functionality, software applications, and established IT procedures.
Recommend system enhancements and process improvements to support business growth and operational objectives.
Monitor system performance following implementation and recommend further improvements based on user feedback and technical findings.
Education:
A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer systems engineering, software engineering, or a related discipline
Experience:
· 1-2 years experience in IT systems analysis, information systems development, software testing, systems implementation, technical support, or a related field.
Experience in computer programming, software development, application support, or database management will be considered an asset.
Technical Skills:
The successful candidate should demonstrate knowledge and practical experience in the following areas:
Ability to assess business needs, document functional requirements, analyze workflows, and develop technical specifications.
Familiarity with one or more programming or scripting languages, such as Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, or SQL, as relevant to the organization's systems.
Knowledge of relational databases, database structures, data validation, and querying using SQL.
Ability to develop test cases, execute test plans, document defects, and verify corrective actions.
Ability to diagnose software, application, configuration, connectivity, and system performance issues using a structured problem-solving approach.
Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux environments, computer systems, software installations, and system configuration.
Understanding of application interfaces, data exchange, APIs, and integration between software applications will be an asset.
Understanding of access controls, data protection, secure system configuration, and basic cybersecurity practices.
Ability to prepare clear and accurate system specifications, test reports, user guides, and procedural documentation.
Ability to collect, validate, interpret, and report technical and operational data to support system improvement.
