PAINTER AND DECORATOR

Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week

Colourtrend Painting Ltd. is seeking an experienced Painter and Decorator for residential and commercial painting projects at various locations throughout Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.
Work schedule may include early mornings, flexible hours and weekends. Frequent travel between job sites is required.
Duties:
Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted
Repair cracks and holes
Mix paint to desired colour and texture
Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
Measure, cut and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls
Apply primers and repaint surfaces
Apply lacquer or other sealers
Estimate costs and materials
Determine materials required
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Perform brush, roller and conventional spray painting
Perform drywall taping and patching as required
Requirements:
Secondary school graduation certificate
Minimum 2 years of professional painting experience
English
Valid driver's licence
Own transportation
Willing and able to travel to various job sites throughout Vancouver and the Lower Mainland
Able to provide a driver's abstract
Experience with brush painting, roller painting and conventional spray painting
Able to work outdoors and at heights
Able to work in environments with paint and coating odours
Physically capable of bending, crouching and kneeling
Able to handle loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Good attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colours
Dependable, reliable, flexible and able to work independently and as part of a team
Work location:
Various residential and commercial project locations throughout Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, BC.
