SKILLS

Tasks:
Take customers’ orders and confirm their choices of bread, fillings, vegetables, sauces and other menu items.
Wash, peel, slice and cut vegetables and other sandwich ingredients using manual utensils and electrical food preparation equipment.
Portion meats, cheeses, vegetables and sauces according to Subway’s established serving sizes.
Prepare and assemble sandwiches, wraps and salads according to customers’ orders and Subway’s preparation procedures.
Operate toasters, ovens and other designated equipment to heat ingredients, toast sandwiches and finish simple food items.
Wrap sandwiches and package prepared food for take-out orders.
Serve prepared food and beverages to customers at the service counter.
Stock refrigerators, refrigerated sandwich preparation units and ingredient containers with meats, cheeses, vegetables, sauces and other food supplies.
Keep records of the quantities of ingredients prepared and used.
Receive, unpack and store food deliveries and other supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and designated storage areas.
Clear and clean dining tables, chairs and serving trays.
Collect and organize used trays, utensils, dishes and food containers for washing.
Wash and sanitize utensils, dishes, trays and food containers by hand or using the restaurant’s dishwashing equipment.
Scrub baking trays, pans and food preparation containers to remove food residue.
Return clean utensils, dishes, trays and food containers to designated storage areas.
Clean and sanitize food preparation counters, work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment.
Clean and sanitize floor mats, carts, waste containers and other items used in the kitchen and service areas.
Handle and store detergents, sanitizers and other cleaning products according to restaurant procedures.
Remove garbage and food waste from the kitchen, service counter and dining areas, and clean waste bins.
Sweep, mop and wash floors in the food preparation, service and dining areas.

Education:
No degree, certificate or diploma
