Job Description
Greco Pizza – Beresford is seeking an experienced, organized and motivated Restaurant Manager to oversee the restaurant's daily operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing employees, maintaining operational efficiency, controlling costs, ensuring customer satisfaction and supporting the overall growth and profitability of the restaurant.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring efficient food preparation, customer service and business performance.
Develop, implement and monitor restaurant policies, operational procedures and service standards to maintain consistent food quality and customer satisfaction.
Manage and evaluate restaurant employees, identify staffing requirements and support ongoing employee development.
Prepare employee work schedules, assign responsibilities, monitor staff performance and ensure adequate staffing during peak business hours.
Manage restaurant budgets, monitor operating expenses, review sales revenues and implement cost-control measures to improve profitability.
Oversee inventory management, including ordering food, beverages, packaging and other supplies, while controlling waste and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
Negotiate with suppliers, coordinate purchasing arrangements and monitor supplier performance to ensure reliable delivery and cost-effective procurement.
Ensure compliance with applicable food safety, sanitation, occupational health and safety regulations and established restaurant operating standards.
Address customer inquiries and complaints, resolve service-related issues and implement improvements to enhance the overall customer experience.
Analyze restaurant performance, recommend improvements to menu offerings, pricing and service procedures, and develop strategies to increase sales and operational efficiency.
Employment Requirements
Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP or other non-university two years diploma program, preferably in hospitality, restaurant management or a related field.
Experience: 2 to less than 3 years of relevant experience in restaurant or food service operations.
Language: English.
Strong leadership, organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage employees, control restaurant expenses and maintain high customer service standards.
Knowledge of food safety regulations, inventory control and restaurant operating procedures.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
