Plumber Apprentice
NOC: 72300
Salary: $30.00 to $42.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Benefits: Upon completion of a 3-month probationary period.

Job Duties and skill requirements:
· Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems.
· Install, repair, and maintain domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.
· Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors.
· Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings.
· Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines.
· Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
· Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
Qualifications:
· Physical condition which allows for prolonged periods of standing, bending, walking, twisting, handling materials manually and making repetitive motions.
· Minimum 3-year work experience in the plumbing field.
· Must have Class 5 Drivers license.
· Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug tests.
Education Requirements/Credentials:
· Registered as a plumbing apprentice with Skilled Trades BC (ITA)
· Minimum Education: Combination of work experience in the trade and some high school
· Applicable industry safety tickets will be required. Aerial Work Platform, Fall protection, and First Aid.
