Job Description
We are a family in Esquimalt, British Columbia, seeking a responsible, caring and dependable Home Child Care Provider to assist with the daily care and supervision of our children in our private residence.
The successful applicant will provide a safe, nurturing and supportive home environment while assisting with children's routines, activities and development.
Job Duties
Supervise and care for children in the employer's residence.
Bathe, dress, feed and assist children with personal hygiene, as appropriate for their ages.
Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for children.
Organize age-appropriate recreational and educational activities, including games, crafts, reading and outdoor play.
Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
Assist children with daily routines, including rest periods.
Support children's emotional well-being and social development.
Perform light housekeeping duties directly related to childcare, including tidying play areas and children's belongings.
Communicate with the parents regarding children's activities, behaviour and well-being.
Employment Requirements
Ability to provide safe, attentive and responsible childcare.
Relevant childcare experience is an asset.
First Aid and CPR training is an asset.
Dependability, patience, sound judgment and effective interpersonal skills.
Ability to work on-site at the employer's residence in Esquimalt, BC.
