Hallmark Dental Lab is hiring a Dental Technician in Halifax, NS (B3S 0G4). Permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week, morning/day shifts) at $39.42 per hour. Work is on site in a commercial dental laboratory; no remote option. Start date: as soon as possible. 1 vacancy.
Requirements:
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Language: English
Responsibilities:
Design dental devices
Fabricate and repair crowns, bridges or implants
Modify dental devices including full or partial dentures, orthodontic appliances, inlays, onlays, clasps and bands
Prepare plaster models and moulds
Maintain and order supplies
Mould wax over dentures set-up
Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays
Pack plastic material in moulds to form full or partial dentures
Make orthodontic bands from metal and alloys
Polish and buff dentures
Experience and specialization:
Technical expertise (dental), plastering, packing, waxing-up, casting, polishing, assembly
